Songwriting & Recording Lessons (Small Group Class)

Triad Music Academy is the number one songwriting & recording lesson program in Winston-Salem, NC.

Triad Music Academy offers songwriting & recording lessons to students with prior music experience from grades 6-12. Our instructors have professional experience writing music in various styles and will gladly teach your student to write music in their preferred genre.

What's the #1 reason to study songwriting & recording at TMA?

Our Lead Guitar Instructor Mark Fields works with each student and parent on a personal level to craft a lesson plan that fits the student's individual needs and favorite type of music. Whether you want to write folk music, country, rock, pop, or something else entirely, you'll have a chance to write and record the music you are passionate about.

What styles of songwriting do you teach?

Our songwriting & recording class is mainly geared towards commercial music styles - that is rock, pop, country, folk, R&B, singer-songwriter, etc. Students can choose their own path within that broader category.

Do I have to know how to read music or have prior experience?

Reading music is not necessary. Some prior experience on any instrument or voice is required. A typical middle or high school playing level is fine to get started, but more advanced students will gain value out of this class as well.
